Privacy Policy — Archive: Vinyl Tracker
Last updated: 17 October 2026
1. Introduction
Archive: Vinyl Tracker (“Archive”, “the App”) is a vinyl collection tracking application designed to help you organise and manage your personal record collection.
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.
2. Information We Collect
Archive: Vinyl Tracker is designed to work without requiring you to create an account or provide personal information directly to us.
Depending on how you use the App, the following information may be stored:
-
Collection data: Information you add about your vinyl records, such as album titles, artists, release details, collection status and other details supported by the App.
-
User preferences: Settings and preferences you choose within the App.
-
iCloud data: If iCloud synchronisation is enabled and supported, your collection data may be stored and synchronised through Apple's iCloud services using your Apple Account.
We do not intentionally collect your name, email address, contact details or precise location through the App.
3. How Your Information Is Used
Your information is used solely to provide the App's functionality, including:
-
Organising and displaying your vinyl collection.
-
Saving your collection information and preferences.
-
Synchronising your data across compatible devices through iCloud, where enabled.
-
Maintaining and improving the functionality of the App, where applicable.
We do not sell your personal information or use your collection data for targeted advertising.
4. iCloud and Data Storage
Archive may use Apple's iCloud services to store or synchronise your collection data between your devices.
iCloud is operated by Apple and is subject to Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Your use of iCloud is also governed by your Apple Account settings.
We do not operate a separate server to store your personal vinyl collection data, unless explicitly stated in a future version of the App.
You can manage iCloud access through your Apple device's settings. Disabling iCloud access may affect synchronisation between devices.
5. Third-Party Services
The App may rely on Apple services, including iCloud, to provide its functionality.
If the App uses third-party music databases, such as Discogs, or other external services to retrieve record information, those services may process information as necessary to fulfil your requests. Their own privacy policies and terms apply.
We do not control the privacy practices of third-party services.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
We do not share your personal collection data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Information may be processed by Apple or other service providers where necessary to operate features you choose to use, or where disclosure is required by law.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Collection information is retained on your device and, where applicable, in iCloud for as long as it remains stored there.
You can delete records within the App where the relevant functionality is available. You can also manage or delete associated iCloud data through Apple's available settings and data-management options.
Deleting the App may remove locally stored information, but it may not automatically delete data stored in iCloud or other locations. Please check your device and iCloud settings before uninstalling the App if you want to remove your collection data completely.
8. Children's Privacy
Archive: Vinyl Tracker is not designed to collect personal information from children. The App does not require users to create an account or submit personal details to use its core collection-tracking functionality.
If you believe personal information has been provided to us in connection with the App, please contact us using the details below.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access, correction or deletion.
Because the App is designed to store collection information locally and through your own iCloud account, you can manage much of this information directly through the App and your Apple device settings.
For any privacy-related questions or requests, please contact us using the details below.
10. Security
We take reasonable steps to minimise the collection of personal information. Data stored on your device or through iCloud is subject to the security measures provided by your device, Apple and the relevant services.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, its features or applicable legal requirements.
Any updated version will be published with a revised “Last updated” date.
